There is a great sense of adventure and strong variation in the instruments. Great composition!

Great atmosphere, very exciting! The beat is excellent. I've listened to your song at least 6 times. I would like to thank for how helpful the download button is on Newgrounds for downloading songs; I find that feature extremely helpful. You rap very well!
The melody is excellent, and the atmosphere is great, very well created. There's a ton of style and a great description detailing the story of your track. The piano line by @SkankyMojo is great. It's awesome that you can remember your first paid commission. You're really good at writing about the stories of your experiences with music. A super thanks to @Jozarto for being awesome. It's great to have amazing friends with whom you can collaborate with.
@ADR3-N It's amazing how much well-thought-out and effortful writing you have in your music. I am intimidated by the amount of information you are able to organize. You're very skilled in your writing as well as your ability to create music.
Great improvisational piece! The auditory environment is rich with emotion and well mixed. The effect is calming.
One of the reasons I started uploading music was because musicians had their older works up, and when I listened to their new stuff, I felt intimidated. It made me not want to make music because I didn't think I could ever get to that level. You play guitar a lot better than I can, and I wish I could play as well as you do. However, the mixing is off, which already shows you have a very high starting point.
I really appreciate and am thankful that you have your older songs up. You deserve a tremendous amount of respect for having the confidence in people to see how you've progressed and evolved as a passionate and kind artist.
You can tell me if my reviews are pretentious and obnoxious, though I feel I'm sharing my perspective because perhaps you would like to know. You do have a good atmosphere going on. I listened to your full song multiple times, and I thought the experience was atmospheric, though I was a bit dozed off by the lack of auditory progression.
Overall your song from 2008 is still good.
Amazing episode! There were lots of great discussions about experiences at art school and many philosophical discussions about art, which were very interesting, especially when it was put into perspective that animation is teamwork-based. I am less skeptical of art school now that I have listened to the perspective that was shared by Danny.
The discussion and philosophy of living, getting to the perspective of not seeing yourself as you do the work, and not being focused on trying to control the bigger picture, but rather on doing the work, as well as talking about living a life opposite to narcissism and getting rid of the self-centered mentality, and focusing on doing good work, was a good talk.
Strange of May 1, 2024 - The episode is just titled Episode 165 - There are no information and links in the Author Comments, I find this strange; there must be an addition that will be added later. Perhaps there is something that I am missing, though most crucially, the audio is here and fully functional.
Technically, this episode is for next week. We upload an episode one week early for a our patreon supporters, but we're still figuring out a system for Newgrounds. It'll be updated by tonight so you can follow/support the guest of this episodes!
Super Happy Birthday to Tom!
The song has great energy and powerful vocals. There's a lot of variation in the soundscape, making it a well-structured composition with well-defined, balanced, and organized strong tonalities that contribute to a high-intensity environment. Excellent teamwork!
Thank you! The whole project really came as a shock, more so than usual even. I feel like @SkankyMojo was the glue that tied it all together, the secret sauce. Without him it'd just be another unfinished project, or lyric files sitting in the corner waiting for an inspired beat! He did a fantastic job with the chord progression and bridge, which exceeded both of our expectations. Really floored me the first time I heard it and is still my favorite part of the song!
Absolutely true that the production pipeline for podcasts can get quite convoluted when there's a whole bunch of stuff happening, and it's awesome that Loic is on the podcast. He has a great personality, amazing skill, dedication, and appreciation for art that is very nice. I am always surprised by how many amazing artists there are creating amazing work. I was sad to hear that he made two hundred illustrations for a board game and then, due to internal politics, the board game was not released. That is very upsetting, as well as his comic, due to a similar type of incident.
I would like to say that sending voice messages to people is a good idea. I feel that gives a great sense of the personality of the person you're talking to, but 22 minutes of just rambling is difficult to pay attention to, especially for a Zoomer such as myself!
The way that I primarily interact with my friends a lot of the time is by using the PM system on Newgrounds. I write long messages with lots of detail. I also use Discord for communication a lot because that's how I voice chat, and the subject matter is 90% always about something creative! currently.
Yes, I have traveled a lot. I have been to England, and I am going to fly to the Newgrounds Dublin Meetup 2024 in Ireland for the Pico Day meetup that is happening on May 18th. That's the first time I will be at a NG meetup!
Terry, you are a great animator, a great person, a great listener.
You are awesome. The skill, dedication, and passion you have for expression are extremely humbling to witness. Your ability to appreciate art and give artists honest and sincere appreciation is deeply admirable. Thank you so much for starting conversations, and listening to awesome artists.
Pedro Medeiros has some of the best pixel art tutorials I've ever seen!
I'm extremely happy to hear about Medeiros' experiences with creating amazing pixel art and his journey and advice. I really appreciate his advice on creating mock-up game scenes!
An amazing artist with great passion and lots of respect for the arts, and we are all so lucky for his interest in expressing and creating games. It is so true that it's easy to neglect technical skill and the power that giving a bit of curiosity to see what craftsmanship and being inspired by different types of art and creating more unique games instead of just trying to do the same thing that everybody else is doing, which is just going to feel dated. But what's not going to feel dated is passion, expression, and telling a story that resonates with oneself. That takes a lot of strength, the willingness to be vulnerable in art.
Thank you so much, Medeiros! Absolute Legend.
Wow! What a great message to read. Thank you so much for the kind words to me and Pedro. Appreciate you tuning in a lot! I'm very happy I got to come on your show as well. Best!
