Excellent animation! How did you learn to animate so well, and what was your process for creating your Charizard flying?
Excellent animation! How did you learn to animate so well, and what was your process for creating your Charizard flying?
Thank you!!!!!!!
Can't say I even animate that much, but If you get the timing and frames right you can animate really anything! I looked at how some animes space their frames depending how close and far the object is from the camera.
I also used an official model sheet for Charizard and studied that quite closely!
As for the shading, I did two layers for each shadow and highlight, and used the Gaussian blur effect for that copied layer. it gives it that nice cloudy/glow effect!
Such a bold and dynamic piece! What advice would you give to someone just starting in art?
Hey! First of all, thanks so much for your comment—It really makes me happy to know that someone likes my art! As for advice, something I wish I’d known earlier is that you don't have to hide your sketch layer. Those sketchy lines can actually add a cool touch to your artwork sometimes, and it's okay to experiment with them in different art styles too ^^
You have a unique style. What are your creative goals? And why?
thank you! I would have to say my creative goals are to make unique and fun creations, as well as provide more content to newgrounds itself. I've always had an eye out for colorful and interesting concepts, even as a child. it's fun to contribute fun and colorful things to the world, and in turn make people happy in the same way I become happy upon looking at similar creations.
as for the newgrounds thing, I just love newgrounds. it's the only website I've felt a true sense of community on and been able to make friends upon. it's great to be able to both give back to the community and meet new artists thru things like my art, the bbs and collabs and I'm always thinking up new ideas to get more involved on here!
Good art and funny expressions! Planet Dolan has some genuinely fascinating lore.
What do you think about Planet Dolan?
How did you decide to draw Shima?
i draw puzzles for the viewers to
solve ^_^
You have sophisticated shape language. How did you develop your style?
Both out of economic character design, and the "more is less" mentality.
I'm glad you enjoy this hiker dude.
The composition is fantastic, and the way you use values and lines is so well done. This is an immensely impressive piece you’ve created, and the blood is a great detail. I’m especially impressed by how controlled the line work is in defining the character. And it must have taken a lot of effort. Very impressive!
How did you learn to draw?
AH! thank you so much, this is like the most detailed compliment I've ever received, I really appreciate it.
I'm actually completely self taught, the obsession to draw overtook me when I was like eight and I drew an entire region's worth of fake pokemon! Just over the last ~11 years doing lots of practice, art studies. Drawing has been more or less my entire life, art was pretty much all I was good at so I just ended up here now lol. Not the most interesting answer, sorry!
The depth and dimension are amazing!
Thank you so much!!!
This has such a fresh and innovative feel. How did you get interested in doing comics?
Thank you! In truth I just kinda did it I knew I wanted to make comic this year for a New Year’s resolution and my friend has this oc he has admitted he doesn’t give enough attention to and I fell in love with. As for how I got interested I just kinda always wanted to do it but my perfectionist stopped me so I just said screw it and went ignoring the mistakes I made and pressed on.
Your composition is very sophisticated, with strong use of silhouettes and color. The background is well stylized and has great shape appeal, especially in how the ghosts are formed. The pink and purple colors pop beautifully!
Very unique! How did you develop your style? What steps did you take, and what advice would you give to people who are just starting to learn to draw or trying to develop the habit of learning to draw?
First of all... thank you v much, v appreciated it!
And second, long short story, i developed my style by watching other artists, learning their techniques and use them in a creative and unique way, my advice is... keep trying, never give up and if something is bad... you'll do even better next time! never be afraid of fail bc every attempt would be even better than before! (and of course... make sure to take feedback given by others and also studying and learning techniques of other artists, it's not bad taking inspiration of other sources ;D)
Very nice orange color! The forms are well done. What do you think about Friday Night Funkin'? In what ways would you say your style has changed over the years? Also, great lighting work and excellent stylized anatomy!
Thank you very much for your support. What I think about fnf today is that it is like undertale sincerely. The truth is my style in recent years because I have only been doing it in the way that I like the most. Thank you again for your support:3
